DWI Driver Slept For 18 Hours In Running Mercedes Benz, Parsippany Police Say

Parsippany police sent to perform a welfare check found the Scotch Plains driver sleeping in his Mercedes Benz GL450 on Miriam Court on April 26 around 5 p.m., Chief Andrew Miller said.

The driver was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and having open containers of alcohol in a vehicle. He was taken to headquarters for processing and released pending a court date.
