Community Support Grows For Mexican Restaurant Destroyed By Fire
Community support is growing for the Martinez family who lost their popular restaurant in a fire earlier this month. Their family eatery, Aby's Mexican Restaurant, has been a staple on the Jersey Shore since May 2002 when it first opened, providing some of the best Mexican dishes in the area. Just a month shy of their 20th anniversary, tragedy struck. Multiple fire companies responded to Aby's at 32 Mian St. in Matawan at about 2:50 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5.
