Firefighters Quickly Douse Blaze In Howell A family safely escaped a house fire in Howell, but a firefighter was injured, authorities said. The fire broke out at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9 at 948 Route 33, Howell police said. A 9-1-1 call was placed by an Eatontown firefighter who observed smoke coming from the residence. Upon arrival of the responding patrol officers, all occupants of the home were already safely evacuated, police said. Fire departments responded quickly containing and extinguishing the fire.  One firefighter suffered a cut to the hand. The firefighter was treated at the scene by the Howell Police EMS Division …

William Tripp, 71, of Elizabethtown, was shot in the head by a juvenile relative on Saturday, reports WJAC citing the Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees. 82-Year-Old Woman Dead, 2 Police Officers Injured In Jackson House Fire An 82-year-old woman died, a dog was missing and first responders were injured in a Jackson house fire Thursday night, authorities said. The blaze broke out around 8:45 p.m. at 10 Lehigh Blvd., which was fully engulfed in flames as firefighters responded, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. Firefighters found the body of the 82 year-old victim in the downstairs portion of the home, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, Billhimer said.
