UPDATE: Asbury Park police bear no responsibility for the deaths of a fleeing suspect and a teenage companion in a crash, a state grand jury found. Dishawn Bellamy, 32, and a 17-year-old boy were in a Ford Explorer that sped past two officers headed toward the sound of gunfire in the area of Atkins Avenue and Boston Way in separate cars shortly before 7:30 p.m. on June 5, 2022. A teenage football player was killed and four of his teammates injured when two gunmen ambushed them outside a Philadelphia high school on Tuesday, Sept. 27, authorities said. It happened as the five players were walking off the field after a football scrimmage between Roxborough High School and two other schools around 4:30 p.m. on the 300 block of Fairway Terrace, Philadelphia police told the media. A 36-year-old Essex County woman has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash that left a 13-year-old middle schooler dead, authorities announced. Marilyn J. A 59-year-old motorcyclist from Jackson was seriously hurt in a crash along the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash occurred on Saturday, June 4, at 7:46 p.m. along the parkway southbound at milepost 81.4 in Toms River, a New Jersey State Police spokesman said. State Police ID Motorist, 43, Killed When SUV Flips In South Jersey
Authorities identified the motorist killed when her SUV overturned in South Jersey. Danielle Lewis, 43, of Vineland died in the crash at 3:02 p;m. on Tuesday, March 8, a New Jersey Strate Police spokesman said. A Ford Explorer driven by Lewis drove off Route 55 southbound to the left and overturned in the grass center median in Franklin Township, according to Trooper Charles Marchan. A gunman wanted out of Maryland may have New Jersey license plates, investigating officers say. The person pictured above is a suspect in a non-contact shooting in Brooklyn Park, Anne Arundel County Police said Friday. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a silver, newer model Ford Explorer with either a New Jersey tag or Maryland Agricultural tag, police said. A Brooklyn woman was killed Wednesday in a rollover crash on Route 23 in West Milford, authorities confirmed.
