City police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 1100 block of Monroe Avenue just after 10 p.m., according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. When officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds at the scene. Kevin Gayle, Jr., 37, of Marmora was unresponsive.
