Route 18 South was closed at exit 8B and the crash caused significant delays, according to a Facebook post by the Neptune Township Office of Emergency Management at around 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 7. Exit 8B is Route 18's interchange with Route 33.
Neptune officials said Route 18 South reopened just before 4 p.m. There was no word about how many vehicles were involved or if there were any injuries as of press time.
Drivers were asked to find alternate routes as crews cleared the crash scene.
