Three Firefighters Injured Battling Blaze At Neptune Home
Three firefighters were injured while on the scene of a house fire in Monmouth County, officials said. Firefighters responded to the home on 11th Avenue in Neptune on Tuesday, Feb. 6, according to the Neptune Township Office of Emergency Management. Authorities ID Driver Killed In Route 9 Crash
Authorities have identified the driver killed in a seven-vehicle crash on Route 9 in Freehold Township. Daniel Kaplan, 78, of Freehold Township, died in the crash, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The crash occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 northbound near Route 9's intersection with Route 33. The activation of a smoke alarm led to the arrest of a motel guest on drug charges, authorities said. At about 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, East Windsor police responded to Motel 6 on Route 33 due to the alarm.
