A tractor-trailer has overturned initially closing all lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike near its interchange with the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 on the outer roadway northbound near the exit ramp to Interchange 11, according to 511nj.org. Two of three lanes had reopened as of 2:30 p.m., according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The shoulder and one left lane remained blocked. Check back for updates.

The state Department of Transportation (NJDOT) said the Route 71 drawbridge over the Shark River had a mechanical failure on Friday, Mar. 1 that caused "significant damage to the machinery of the North Bridge leaf."
