Limited NJ Transit Service Resumes On Northeast Line Disrupted By Downed Wires A motor vehicle crash in Edison caused a power outage that knocked out New Jersey Transit service between Rahway and Trenton, authorities said. UPDATE: Northeast Corridor rail service resumed limited service on Monday afternoon, May 2, in both directions between Rahway and Trenton. Eastbound trains will bypass New Brunswick, Edison and Metuchen. Customers should transfer at Metropark for westbound service to these stations, NJ Transit announced.
