Toms River Man, 45, Fatally Struck By 2 Cars Over The Weekend: Police Police have identified the 45-year-old man fatally struck by two cars in Ocean County over the weekend. Paul Mount, of Toms River, was in the northbound lane of County Route 571 when he was struck by a black 2018 Ford Explorer and a black 2021 Toyota Highlander around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3 in Manchester Township, local police said. He was found lying in the roadway 56 feet north of Washington Avenue, and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Mount was not within a marked crosswalk, police said.
