SWAT team members ended a standoff of more than five hours when they subdued a knife-wielding man who’d barricaded himself in his mother’s River Edge apartment. A probable tornado touched down in South Jersey early Thursday, June 9, according to the National Weather Service. Trees fell on several homes in Camden County due to strong winds, authorities said. Police, EMS crews and other first responders were called on a report of "multiple shootings" on the Jersey Shore, authorities said.
