A crash with injuries jammed up traffic on Interstate 287, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 2:25 p.m. on Monday, April 8 northbound near Exit 2 in Metuchen Township, according to New Jersey State Police. Two lanes were closed to traffic, 511nj.org reported. Based on a preliminary investigation, a Honda SUV and GMC pickup were traveling northbound on I-287. In the area of milepost 2, the GMC collided with the rear of the Honda, State Police said. A dump truck overturned closing all southbound lanes of Interstate 287 in Central Jersey in a multiple-vehicle crash, authorities said. The crash occurred at 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at milepost 1 in Metuchen, according to Sgt. Philip Curry, a spokesman for the the New Jersey State Police. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash including a dump truck that overturned and spilled dirt across the roadway, Curry said. No serious injuries were reported and I-287 was re-opened approximately 2.5 hours after the crash occurred, he said.

The crash occurred at about 12:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 on the I-287 northbound ramp to southbound Exit 2 in Edison, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. The interstate's exit ramp to Route 27 was expected to remain closed until at least 6:30 p.m. for the truck's removal and cleanup, according to a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police. UPDATED: Multiple police and fire departments were responding to numerous traffic and other emergency calls as a major storm passed through Central Jersey on Wednesday, authorities said.
