Fleeing Burglar Rescued From Pond In East Brunswick: Police A fleeing burglary suspect jumped into a pond during a police chase and nearly drowned, authorities said. Police rescued and then arrested the suspect who was charged with breaking into four vehicles, East Brunswick police said. Altogether, three suspects were arrested for breaking into vehicles. Former NJ Kid Guitarist Charged With Kidnapping Woman A Paramus man was charged with first-degree kidnapping after authorities in East Rutherford said he abducted his ex-girlfriend. Adam Sarkisian, 26, was arguing with the woman when he suddenly grabbed her by the sweatshirt, yanked her into his 2008 Dodge Charger and sped off on Oak Street around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, June 25, Police Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. An alert went out to area law enforcement agencies after the woman's mother dialed 911.
