Nearly 9,000 Without Power In Middlesex County (Update) Wind gusts nearing 50 miles per hour left thousands of New Jersey residents without power Monday, March 11. According to the National Weather Service, winds are expected to die down in the evening with a wind advisory in effect until 11 p.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a high near 50. Pilot Escapes Hardwick Crash Landing Without Injury A pilot walked away from a crash landing in Hardwick Tuesday uninjured. The crash occurred on Jones Lane near Stillwater Road around 2:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police said. The pilot tried making an emergency landing in a field when the plane malfunctioned, police said.  The plane had taken off from Blairstown Airport and sustained heavy damage to the wins, State Police said.
