A Philadelphia man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a police chase in Camden County, authorities said. On Thursday, May 18, at approximately 7:10 pm, Gloucester Township police were alerted to a possible impaired driver operating a small red sport utility vehicle with heavy front end damage, police said. An additional caller reported that the driver struck a vehicle on Bethany Lane, they said. A New Jersey mom of three has learned her fate after being convicted of suffocating her toddler who prosecutors say she killed in part for interfering with her affair. A 23-year-old murder suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of another man his age after barricading himself in a South Jersey home over the weekend, authorities announced. Ronin Austin Nevels has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Isaiah Shaw on Friday, Sept. 30, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Lindenwold Police Chief Michael P. A Camden County jury has convicted a mother of three in the suffocation of her toddler who prosecutors say she killed in part because he was getting in the way of her affair. Heather Reynolds, 44, of Sicklerville, was convicted of murder and additional charges connected to the May 2018 death of her 17-month-old son, Axel, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. A 35-year-old man from Camden County has been arrested for causing the fentanyl-overdose death of his 12-year-old nephew, authorities said. The boy had been directed by Troy Nokes, 35, of Blackwood, to clean fentanyl paraphernalia before he passed out on a school bus on Jan. 24, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. Police tasered a man who was carrying bear repellent while swinging a large spear at motorists, Camden County authorities said. Officers subdued the suspect, who allegedly was waving the metal pole and pepper spray, just before sunrise on Saturday, Gloucester Township police said. Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine, Pot Seized In Camden Bust, NJ State Police Say
Authorities seized 36 pounds of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and marijuana in a recent South Jersey drug-dealing bust. Four people were arrested after authorities seized more than $350,000 in cocaine, fentanyl, heroin and marijuana as well as nearly $51,000 cash, a stolen handgun and three vehicles, state police said. A massive four-alarm fire destroyed a Howard Johnson Express Inn on Black Horse Pike in Camden County overnight, authorities said. Fortunately, all the hotel's guests and staff escaped without injury, police in Gloucester Township said. The blaze broke out about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Johnson Inn at 832 North Black Horse Pike, initial reports said. A peeping Tom installed mirrors so he could spy on girls in the bathroom stalls at a South Jersey middle school, authorities charged.
