Sudden Death Of NJ High Schooler Prompts Outpouring Of Support The community is mourning the loss of a 17-year-old boy whose "life was just beginning" when he was killed in a car accident. Jayson Lee Cugliari of Forked River had just been accepted to the college of his choice, Stockton University. He was working and getting ready for Christmas, according to a GoFundMe page. The senior at Lacey Township High School was killed in a car accident on Dec. 9.  Jayson worked at the Goddard School in Forked River where he was adored by students and staff. New Brunswick City Worker Andrea Diaz Dies Suddenly, 22 Support was surging for the family of a 22-year-old New Brunswick woman who died suddenly in April 2023. Andrea Diaz was being remembered on a GoFundMe campaign as a "loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and friend to many." The campaign had raised more than $8,200 as of Sunday, May 7. According to her obituary, Andrea had been working for the City of New Brunswick at the time of her passing. Janet Kay was dressed in another woman's clothing, and wearing someone else's wedding ring and jewelry, when she was buried in a different cemetery days before her funeral service, says the complaint filed by Robin Kay Lord. Meanwhile, nearly 60 attendees were waiting for her funeral service to begin when the funeral home apparently announced the mixup, The Trentonian reports. NJ Native Dies 2 Weeks After Maryland Explosion A man who fought to live for two weeks after being injured by a shipping container explosion in Millersville has died, reports CBS 13.  Kevin Patrick Zichelli, 33, was opening the container when a piece of equipment inside the container ignited gas leaking from a propane tank, causing the explosion at a business on the 1500 block of Jabez Run on Wednesday, May 4.  Kevin died of his injuries on Thursday, May 19, CBS says.  Born in Livingston, New Jersey, Kevin was a graduate of University of Maryland, College Park and worked as an account manager for BG Products and Services,…

Services Set For Woodbridge High School Teacher, Matawan Football Coach, 45, Who Died Suddenly Visiting hours and a funeral service are set for Monday for a beloved teacher and assistant football coach who died suddenly Wednesday at Woodbridge High School. Longtime business teacher Jeffrey Grimm, 45, was found by other staff who called 9-1-1 from the high school.  Grimm, of Union, also served as offensive line football coach for Matawan Regional High School.  A visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 6 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave in Union.
