Retired Nun Of 67 Years Dies In Parkway Crash The 88-year-old driver killed in a weekend crash on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County was identified as a retired nun of 67 years. Sister Joan Eileen Butler, 88, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died Saturday, Dec. 10, at Bay Shore Medical Center, Holmdel, following the crash. Sister Joan Eileen was born in Jersey City. She entered the Sisters of Charity on Sept. 6, 1955, according to her obituary. Sister Joan Eileen was an educator and served in health ministry in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
