Crane Operator Killed After Flipping On Garden State Parkway: Njsp A crane operator was killed when his rig rolled over on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash occurred at 6:31 a.m. on Thursday, June 23 northbound near mile marker 135 in Woodbridge Township, State Police said. Preliminary information indicates that a Freightliner M2 truck traveling northbound overturned. Crane Taken Out For Spin Topples In Bergen Grade School Parking Lot No one was injured when a crane toppled over in the parking lot of a Closter elementary school, authorities said. The 53-year-old owner from Cresskill man had recently bought the truck and was testing the crane in the empty lot of the Hillside Elementary School on Houmans Avenue over the weekend when one of the riggers failed, Police Chief John “Jack” McTigue said.
