Mangled Mustang, Banged Up Benz In 5-Car Jersey Shore Crash That Injured Two Victims: Police Two people were injured after five vehicles crashed in Manchester Township, authorities said. Manchester Township police responded to the crash near the intersection of county route 571 and Commonwealth Boulevard at around 7:20 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, the department announced on Tuesday, Jan. 30.  Officers found a red Ford Mustang and silver Mercedes-Benz CLK in the road with extensive front-end damage.  A black Kia Sportage was seen with extensive front-end damage on a nearby property of 1991 Ridgeway Road. Toms River Man, 45, Fatally Struck By 2 Cars Over The Weekend: Police Police have identified the 45-year-old man fatally struck by two cars in Ocean County over the weekend. Paul Mount, of Toms River, was in the northbound lane of County Route 571 when he was struck by a black 2018 Ford Explorer and a black 2021 Toyota Highlander around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3 in Manchester Township, local police said. He was found lying in the roadway 56 feet north of Washington Avenue, and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Mount was not within a marked crosswalk, police said.
