Asbury Park Brewery said in a news release that it'll officially reopen at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 24. The new brewery is located in a 3,180-square-foot space on Cookman Avenue, just a block away from the House of Independents concert hall. The brewery originally opened in an old warehouse on Sewall Avenue in 2016 and has been run by musicians who grew up playing at nearby venues. What began as a motor vehicle stop became a pursuit and a crash around 8 p.m. Monday, police said in a Facebook post. They caught him after a brief foot chase, they said. Southbound Route 9 was partially closed near Lanes Mills Road during the investigation.

The man fell through a shaft at 10 Park Place after trying to open the elevator door for a person who had their hand stuck around 10:55 p.m. Saturday, Butler police Lt. Michael Moeller said.
