Shark Bites PA Teen Surfing In NJ A 15-year-old girl from Pennsylvania was bitten by a shark while surfing off the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The shark bite occurred off Stone Harbor's 109th Street Beach, around 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, Stone Harbor officials said. The injured surfer sustained several cuts to her left foot and calf, officials said. She received immediate onsite medical treatment from Stone Harbor Fire/Rescue. 15-Year-Old Girl Struck, Killed In Lakewood Crosswalk A 15-year-old girl was struck and killed in a crosswalk in Lakewood, authorities said. On Tuesday, May 9 just before 10 p.m., Lakewood Officer Christopher Dunphy was exiting a convenience store located on Route 70 when he heard what he described as a loud bang followed by yelling and screaming that someone was just struck by a car.  Officer Dunphy located a 2006 white Lexus with heavy front end damage at the intersection of Route 70 and Vermont Avenue, police said. Elizabeth Girl, 15, Leaving School Critical After Being Struck By Car A 15-year-old girl was in critical condition after being struck by a car Tuesday in Elizabeth, authorities said. The teen was being picked up from school when she was struck around 1 p.m. at North Broad Street and North Avenue, City Spokeswoman Kelly A. Martins said. The vehicle that struck her remained at this scene.  No further information was available. The scene was closed for investigation.
