Sanchez, of Dunellen, was struck by a Hyundai on his Suzuki motorcycle around 1:11 p.m. while heading west on Route 28 at Fairfield Avenue, Middlesex police said. He was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

"On Father’s Day, our beloved friend Panda was tragically struck by a car while riding his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital," Elys Valdez of Bound Brook wrote on behalf of her sister-in-law, Awilda Sanchez on a GoFundMe page.

"Panda leaves behind a beautiful family who are left with his funeral expenses. We ask that you find it in your heart to help this family out in these rough times. Anything helps. . . .Please keep the family in your prayers," Valdez wrote.

The Middlesex Police Department asks anyone who witnessed this crash or has information that may aid in the investigation to contact Sgt. Mark Melchiorre at 732-356-1900 extension 338.
