Life Time officially opened its newest location in Middletown on Tuesday, Feb. 27, the company said in a news release. The 127,000-square-foot facility is at 230 Half Mile Road, which is just off of Garden State Parkway exit 109.
The athletic country club joined the nearby Life Time Work premium coworking space that opened in late January 2024.
"Our expansion across the East Coast and here in New Jersey is a direct result of our strong performance as our brand continues to become a staple for millions of people nationwide," said Life Time executive vice president Parham Javaheri. "The opening of our 127,000-square-foot Life Time Middletown-Red Bank allows us to serve residents of Monmouth County with our multitude of health and lifestyle offerings, while the design flexibility of our clubs makes us ideally suited for reimagined office park redevelopments with hyper amenities to meet the needs of the new age worker."
The three-story building includes a 50,000-square-foot outdoor pool deck, seven studios for about 200 weekly exercise classes, and six pickleball courts. The facility also has more than 400 cardiovascular and resistance training machines, a dedicated children's academy, a fast-casual cafe, and a full-service salon.
Life Time Middletown-Red Bank also boasts luxurious dressing rooms that feature cold-plunge pools, whirlpools, saunas, and steam rooms. There are also indoor and outdoor pools with resort-style seating, an outdoor bistro, and a full bar.
Life Time said it has more than 170 athletic clubs across the U.S. and Canada. Middletown is the eighth New Jersey location for Life Time, joining facilities in Berkeley Heights, Bridgewater (an athletic club and workspace), Hackensack, Montvale, Mount Laurel, and Plainsboro.
The Middletown facility is open Mondays through Fridays from 4 a.m. to midnight, and 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends. Life Time said the center will bring more than 230 jobs to the township.
Monthly memberships start at $279 and options are also available for couples and families.
