Trash Disposal Business Owner Pinned, Killed Working On Garbage Truck In Central Jersey: Police The 67-year-old owner of a garbage collection business was killed while working on a company truck, authorities said. Kenneth Buratti of Piscataway was pinned by a hydraulic arm attached to a garbage collection truck at 8:31 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9,, according to Middlesex police. Police received a 9-1-1 call from an employee at Bridgewater Disposal, 1 South Raritan Ave. reporting the machinery accident,  Buratti was performing maintenance on a truck when the accident occurred, police said. 2 Families Displaced By Apartment House Fire In Central Jersey Two families were left homeless by a fire that ripped through a Central Jersey apartment building, authorities said.  The fire broke out at 3:21 p.m. Sunday at Middlesex Village Apartments on Wellington Street. Middlesex police received numerous 9-1-1 calls about smoke at the apartments. Police arrived and found a working structure fire in apartment 51B, which was unoccupied.  Residents in adjacent units were quickly evacuated, police said. Middlesex Firefighters Knock Down Apartment Fire, Tenant Treated For Smoke Inhalation Middlesex Borough firefighters quickly knocked down a restaurant/apartment fire early Wednesday that injured one tenant, authorities said. Middlesex Police Department received a 9-1-1 call about 6 a.m. reporting smoke in a second floor apartment at 433 Lincoln Blvd. Officers found an active structure fire in the rear of the first floor of the building occupied by Sapore Ravioli & Cheese, police said.
