Wrong Place, Wrong Time: Man Faces Weapons Charge As Authorities Make Murder Arrest In Trenton A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Trenton last fall, and a man who was with him at the time was charged on a weapons offense, authorities said. Killed in the shooting was Chron Jenks, 34, of Ewing, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. Trenton Girl, 12, Reported Missing: Police UPDATE: Esmeralda has been located and is safe, police said. -------------------------- A 12-year-old girl from Trenton has been reported missing, authorities said. Esmeralda Ramírez was last seen near 544 North Clinton Ave., Trenton Police said on Wednesday, July 13. Esmeralda is known to make frequent trips to the areas around Garfield Avenue, Unity Square Park, and the 400 block of Chestnut Avenue, police said. Tevin Laster, of Trenton, is accused of shooting Quashawn Kelley in the head, torso, arms and legs at a home on Garfield Avenue around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Man Shot, Killed In Trenton: Prosecutor A man was shot and killed in Trenton over the weekend, authorities said. Officers responding to a Shot Spotter activation on the 400 block of Garfield Avenue found the man with multiple gunshot wounds in the back of a home on Garfield Avenue around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. The man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. His identity was not released. Trenton Homicide Under Investigation Authorities in Trenton were investigating a midnight homicide Saturday morning. At approximately 12:15 a.m., Trenton police received calls for shots fired in 400 block of Garfield Avenue and a report of a man down, Mercer County Prosecutor's Office spokeswoman Casey A. DeBlasio said.  The victim -- later identified as Tyrone Campbell, 45, of Trenton -- was lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his torso when police arrived, DeBlasio said.
