US News & World report released its annual list on Tuesday, April 23.
The rankings were determined by performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare students for college.
Two New Jersey schools made the top 50 in the U.S: High Technology High School in Lincroft at No. 24, and Edison Academy Magnet School at No. 42.
According to US News & World Report, the top 10 best high schools in Mercer County are:
- 1. West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South
- 2. Princeton High School
- 3. Robbinsville High School
- 4. Hopewell Valley Central High School, Pennington
- 5. Lawrence High School, Lawrenceville
- 6. Hightstown High School
- 7. Mercer County Technical School Stem Academy in Trenton
- 8. Mercer County Technical School Health Sciences Academy in Trenton
- 9. Hamilton East - Steinert
- 10. Hamilton North-Nottingham
