Two Dead, Two Critical In Deptford Crash Two people were killed and two hospitalized in a single-car crash early Saturday, Dec. 23 in Deptford Township, police said. The crash involved just one car and happened on the 500 block of Fox Run Road, just before 12:40 a.m., Deptford Police Chief Joseph Smith said in a press release. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and two were hospitalized in critical condition, police said. Police Capture Loose Pig In South Jersey Deptford Township police had one of their more unusual calls on Tuesday, Dec. 5. A loose pig was reported near Tanyard Road and Brenner Drive. "Through the use of de-escalation techniques and the latest technology, officers were finally able to apprehend the suspect," Deptford police joked on their Facebook page, where a video of the "arrest" was posted. Police nicknamed the 4-year-old pig Albert Einstein. He was from the New Sharon section of the township, they said. "Mr. Einswine was released on his own recognizance," the post said.
