Woman, 75, Shot In Paterson
A 75-year-old woman was shot in the face in Paterson, authorities confirmed. Police found the wounded victim near Rosa Parks Arts High School and the Federation Apartments high-rise off the corner of 12th Avenue and East 27th Street shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday. She'd actually been shot near the Sussman's Drugs at the corner of 10th Avenue and East 26th Street, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. A Paterson man accused of shooting a 15-year-old boy nearly two years ago was caught selling drugs and carrying a loaded rifle just days after another man charged in the same shooting was captured, authorities said. UPDATE: A little more than 20 months after a 15-year-old boy was shot on Paterson’s Eastside, authorities have charged a second city man with trying to kill him. Nyedair Parker, a 28-year-old ex-con with an adult criminal history that began soon after he turned 18, remained held in the Passaic County Jail on attempted murder and various weapons charges, including being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
