Man Gets 24 Years For Fatally Stabbing Weehawken Woman: Prosecutors A 24-year-old Weehawken resident was sentenced to 24 years in state prison on Friday, Sept. 8 for stabbing a woman in the neck in June 2021, prosecutors. Vincent Palacios had previously pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the death of Michelle Castillo, a 24-year-old Weehawken resident, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. On June 19, 2021, Weehawken Police responded to 561 Hudson Ave. and found Castillo unresponsive in the bathroom, Suarez said. Bus Topples Traffic Pole In Weehawken A bus carrying 45 passengers took down a traffic light pole in Weehawken Wednesday, April 12, NJ Transit officials said. The bus, operated under contract by Coach, struck the pole at Willow Ave and 19th Street around 6:10 p.m., officials said. None of the 45 customers on the No. 84 route bus were injured. Weehawken police were leading the investigation.
