Chinese Food Delivery Person Robbed: Maplewood PD Maplewood police are looking for a man who robbed a Chinese food delivery person on the evening of Thursday, Feb. 15. At 7:30 p.m., police responded to Indiana Street on a report of a robbery, officers said on Facebook. The  suspect called a local Chinese restaurant and placed an order for delivery on Indiana Street, police said.  When the delivery person arrived, the suspect grabbed the food and demanded money from them, police said. Brooklyn Man Busted After Maplewood Car Thefts: Police A 29-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested in Maplewood on Sunday, Nov. 26 for stealing multiple vehicles, authorities said. Maplewood police initially responded to Springfield Avenue after a 2019 Subaru WRX was stolen, officers said. The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys still inside, police said. Irvington Shooting Victim Found Lying In Street: Maplewood Police A person who was shot in Irvington was found lying in the street in Maplewood on Monday, Oct. 9, Maplewood police said. At 2:11 p.m., police in Maplewood responded to Evelyn Court and found the victim, Maplewood Police Chief Albert Sally said. They were taken to a nearby hospital, Sally said. An investigation by Maplewood police determined the shooting occurred in Irvington and the Irvington Police Detective Bureau will be handling the investigation, Sally said. Cranford Butler, of Irvington, had gotten into an argument with the victim at a home on Jacoby Street in Maplewood the morning of Feb. 16, when he apparently fired a .380 caliber handgun, Maplewood Police Chief Jim DeVaul said.
