Lyndhurst PD: Dirt Bike Pursuit Leads To Arrest Of Speeding Out-Of-State Rider
An out-of-state dirt bike rider led Lyndhurst police on a chase around a borough block before he was taken into custody. Officer Michael Carrino was on Post Avenue approaching Riverside Avenue when he spotted the dirt bike speeding toward him Tuesday afternoon, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. Wrong-Way Jersey City Dirt Bike Rider Drags Officer During 3rd Bayonne Pursuit, Authorities Say
A 27-year-old dirt bike rider dragged an officer attempting to stop him after leading several pursuits down local Bayonne streets -- some against the flow of traffic, authorities said. Officers saw a mini dirt bike without a license plate, functional turn signals, functional brake, functional headlight heading northbound on Avenue C near 7th Street around 2:30 p.m. Friday, Bayonne Police Capt. Pro Dirt Bike Racer, 20, Remains Critical After Meadowlands Crash, NJ State Police Report
A 20-year-old professional dirt bike rider remained in critical condition Monday at Hackensack University Medical Center following a crash Saturday night during a race at the Meadowlands. Oliver Brindley, of Doncaster, England, was injured during a multi-bike crash just after 6 p.m. at the American Flat Track "Meadowlands Mile" race, New Jersey State Police confirmed.
