Six people, including one with severe burns, were injured in the explosion at 39 S. Union City DPW Employee Fatally Struck By Vehicle While On Job: Prosecutors A 73-year-old Union City man was killed while on the job after he was struck by a vehicle on the morning of Monday, June 5, while working for the Department of Public Works, authorities said. Fortunato Rojas-Solis was struck in the area of Palisade Avenue and 36th Street, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The Department of Public Works cleaned up about 15 wheelbarrows' worth of spaghetti, macaroni and other pasta after photos circulated on social media.
