Police ID Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Montclair Police in Montclair have identified the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle over the weekend. Vivian Folkenflik, 83, of the Township, was struck at Bellevue Avenue and Park Street around 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Montclair Police Chief Todd Conforti said. Folkenflik was transported to Mountainside Medical Center and pronounced dead at 1 p.m. The driver remained at the scene. Photos: Ambulance Collides With SUV In Montclair An ambulance and SUV collided Monday morning in Montclair, injuring the EMT driving the rig and a patient who was being transported at the time, responders said. The front driver’s side of the Atlantic Mobile Health ambulance took the brunt of the hit and ended up on a lawn at the corner of Grove Street and Bellevue Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. The SUV was totaled, with major damage to the front, as well as the rear passenger side. Stranger Appeared To Be Recording 13-Year-Old In Montclair, Police Say Police in Montclair are investigating after a 13-year-old girl said she and another child were possibly filmed by an unknown man Thursday . . The girl and the other child, who was not identified, were at the Bellevue Avenue branch of the Montclair Public Library around 3:30 p.m. when they saw the man, who was holding up his phone as though recording them, police said.  The girl told police she and other juvenile felt uncomfortable and walked to the CVS on Valley Road, where they saw the man again.
