Update: Authorities ID Jersey City Livery Driver Found Killed In Bayonne Car Trunk

Authorities have identified a homicide victim found whose body was found in a car trunk in Bayonne as a 34-year-old livery driver from Jersey City.

Michael Rumberger was unresponsive when police found him in the trunk of a Lincoln Town Car around 11 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.

Michael Rumberger has suffered blunt force trauma, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

Police discovered his body in the trunk of a Lincoln Town Car around 11 p.m. Saturday, about an hour after receiving a report of possible criminal activity near 17th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Suarez said.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Bayonne Police Department are investigating.
