Man Shot Near Jersey City Charter School: Authorities

A man is in critical condition after being shot in Jersey City on Monday, Dec. 11, authorities said.

The man was shot in the area of Bramhall Avenue and Clerk Street, near Dr. Lena Edwards Academic School, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.

Police recovered a handgun at the scene, Wallace-Scalfione said. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.
