National Auto Parts Retailer To Close Over 700 Stores
A nationwide auto parts retailers says it will close over 700 stores as part of “a strategic plan to improve business performance.” Advance Auto Parts, which has about 4,800 total stores, and locations in almost every state, made the announcement on Thursday, Nov. 14. There's a brand-new tropical storm with just two weeks remaining in the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. A system in the central Caribbean Sea called Tropical Depression 19 was upgraded to Tropical Storm Sara on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 14. It's now moving westward toward Central America. Teen Stabbed In Jersey City: Authorities
A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was stabbed in Jersey City on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 13, authorities said. At 6:43 p.m., police responded to Bowers Street and Sherman Avenue and found the 16-year-old with a puncture wound to his left middle lower back, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokesman for the mayor's office said. He was taken to a local hospital where he is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, Wallace-Scalfione said.. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.

A bear was recently spotted near two schools in Plainfield, the district said. The bear was seen near Evergreen Elementary School and Plainfield High School, Plainfield Public Schools said on social media. A 39-year-old man was shot in Jersey City on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 10, authorities said. At 12:42 a.m., police responded to Grove Street and Newark Avenue and discovered a man with a wound to his lower back, Kimberly Wallace Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.
