One-Way Hackensack Streets Undergoing Two-Way Conversion HACKENSACK, N.J. — Drivers will soon be able to drive in both directions on Main and State streets in Hackensack. The one-way streets are undergoing a two-way conversion, starting with State Street on July 5, with work on Main Street to begin thereafter.  All work is expected to be complete by August 2018. The State Street conversion will occur north to south beginning at Passaic Street and ending at Essex Street. Delays and detours are expected.
