A busy route 46 intersection could see some traffic relief. A "No U-Turn" sign has been installed by the NJDOT at the North Beverwyck Road intersection along Route 46 in Parsippany. Some motorists say, "It's about time." "Finally!" one person commented on the Parsippany Police Department's post. "Slows down that light so much those U-turns." There will be a sea of red tying up traffic in New Jersey on Saturday, Nov. 4, as thongs of college football fans are expected to flock to SHI Stadium as Rutgers squares off against top-ranked Ohio State. A crash had traffic piled up along Route 80 in Passaic County early Thursday, Oct. 5. The collision with injuries happened around 8:10 a.m. in the westbound lanes, west of Exit 58 to Madison Avenue in Paterson, the state's DOT website says. Three lanes were closed. One person suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash that closed Route 80 Monday afternoon, Oct. 2. A Hyundai SUV was heading west on the highway when a Ford traveling on the on ramp from Route 206 south around 4:30 p.m. in Mount Olive, NJSP Sgt. Charles Marchan said. The Hyundai struck the curb on the right shoulder, traveled over a concrete median and struck the Ford. Phil Murphy declared a State of Emergency in the late afternoon, as rain continued falling, leaving drivers trapped in flood waters across the state.
