Hoboken police said eight people were arrested at the annual event on Saturday, Dec. 21, where people dress up as Santa Claus for a bar crawl, a spinoff of the popular event held every year in New York City (scroll down for details).  Overall, police issued 16 traffic summonses, dealt with 13 fights, and responded to three motor vehicle crashes, police said. Crash Outside Chit Chat Diner Sends 1 Person To Hospital 1One person was hospitalized and one summons was issued in a two-vehicle crash outside Chit Chat Diner in Hackensack Friday night, Oct. 11, police said. The crash involved a Toyota SUV and a Honda sedan around, Capt. Michael Antista said. Sometime around 9:15 p.m., a Toyota SUV and Honda sedan collided. One vehicle struck the curb, case, and light fixture on the property of Chit Chat Diner on Essex Street, Antista said. A 53-year-old Hackensack woman was hospitalized with pain, the captain said. One summons was issued due to a registration issue.

Glen Rock PD: Cracked Windshield Turns Up Crack In Mahwah Man's Pocket A Glen Rock police sergeant who stopped a car for having a cracked windshield found a passenger from Mahwah carrying three bags of crack, authorities said. Sgt. Mike Trover took James G. Fox, 38, into custody after stopping the vehicle on Berry Place early Friday evening, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. He was charged with drug possession and released pending a June 15 hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court, the chief said. The 22-year-old driver, also from Mahwah, traffic summonses for the windshield and for not having proof of insurance, he said.
