SUV Plows Into Ridgefield Firehouse An SUV plowed into the main entrance of Ridgefield's Company 1 firehouse early Monday evening. The Asian driver, who was alone in the Lexus RX 350, said the brakes failed. Witnesses, however, told police the vehicle had been speeding north on Broad Avenue just before the 6:10 p.m. March 11 crash. The driver refused medical attention, borough firefighters said. Abu Agila Mohammad Masud is charged with terrorism-related crimes in the 1988 bombing over the village of Lockerbie that killed 190 Americans in all, Attorney General William Barr said Monday. But then again, considering the way this winter has gone, maybe not. The Nor'easter that moved through the area overnight Monday into Tuesday did result in bands of heavy snow -- and in some parts of the area, significant accumulation.
