Proposed Plan To Overhaul Little Ferry Park Advances LITTLE FERRY, N.J. — Plans to rehabilitate Losen Slote Creek Park in Little Ferry are moving forward after Superstorm Sandy ravaged the area. Public input was sought at a recent meeting to help with creation of the proposed master plan. The plan will address how the park can be used to provide recreation amenities for borough residents and habitat for wildlife. North Arlington Creates Community Emergency Response Team NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. — The North Arlington Mayor and Council unanimously approved creating a Community Emergency Response Team. “During a large-scale disaster, the response of the Borough’s Police, DPW and Volunteer Emergency services may be delayed or overwhelmed by the nature and scope of an event,” according to the borough ordinance. “This leaves the citizens of the borough to provide for their own well-being and safety until first responders arrive.
