Following what was described as a “small gathering” Friday night at 115 West Church Street, three men accused the woman of stealing cash from the house, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said. After one of them threatened her with a knife, she called for help.

“Several males, including the victim, eventually arrived in the area and an argument began in front of the house,” Molinelli said.

The three men at the house armed themselves — two with broken beer bottles and another with a large kitchen knife, the prosecutor said.

Suddenly, 20-year-old Kenny Francisco began stabbing the victim, Molinelli said. He and the other two then took off.

Francisco tossed his bloodied clothing into a garbage can several blocks away, Molinelli said.

It wasn’t long before investigators identified and arrested all three. They also recovered the bloody clothes and the knife — which, if the victim dies, will be the murder weapon.

Kenny Francisco is being held on $500,000 cash bail at the Bergen County Jail, charged with attempted murder, tampering with evidence and weapons possession. He’s due in Superior Court in Hackensack on Monday afternoon.

His roommate, Ahman Ullah, Jr., 19, is being held on $10,000 bail, with a Wednesday afternoon appearance set in Bergenfield Municipal Court on charges of weapons possession and making terrorist threats.

Molinelli said police found a small amount of marijuana in his car, for which Ullah — who they said originally threatened the woman — also has been charged.

A third man, 18-year-old Andrew Rosario, was released on a summons charging him with weapons possession. He, too, is due in Municipal Court on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim “underwent life-saving surgery” at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was reported in critical but stable condition earlier tonight, Molinelli said.
