“The wires were cut between 2 and 3 p.m., knocking out the circuit and keeping the gates down,” the source said. “That’s sabotage.
“Those responsible apparently wanted the gates to stay up, which could have resulted in a train versus car collision,” the source said. “But the gates stayed down.”
Considerable tie-ups in Rochelle Park and surrounding towns followed.
