Rochelle Park Police Make Quick Arrest In Apartment Burglaries

ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- Rochelle Park police investigating a series of thefts from an apartment building quickly homed in on a resident, who they said had stolen goods, burglary tools and heroin.

Kenneth Struck Jr., 41, was being held on $37,500 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with burglary, theft, possession of drugs and paraphernalia and failing to surrender drugs to police.

He also had two warrants out of Passaic County, records show.

Detective Chris Bermudez found Struck in Saddle River County Park after receving the reports from a Colling Avenue apartment building, Detective Sgt. James DePreta told Daily Voice.

In addition to finding a tool that they believed was used, police found a cellphone stolen from a neighboring apartment, DePreta said. It was returned to the rightful owner, he said.
