Rochelle Park Police Bust Trio With Shoplifted Goods, Gun

ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- A shoplifting call led Rochelle Park to a trio of arrests.

Responding Officer Jared Shatkin and Sgt. Doug Arendacs had just released 19-year-old Matthew Talbot of West Orange after giving him a summons at the Shop Rite when they saw him get into a car that was traveling slowly through the parking lot with two alleged accomplices inside.

They stopped the car and spotted several items that has just been stolen from the nearby Target in the back seat, Detective Sgt. James DePreta said.

These included Lifeproof Iphone cases, a Webcam, Xbox 360 controller, a Brita water filter and Apple adapters worth a combined $600.

The officers also discovered two loaded BB-styled pellet guns, he said.

Taken into custody with Talbot were Kyle Rosenberg, 18, of Atlantic City, and Connor Bagen, 19, of Montclair.

All three were charged with receiving stolen property, Rosenberg also was charged with weapons possession.

Al were released pending court dates following the 11:30 p.m. Nov. 12 incident.
