Peter A. Denicola, 45, of Stony Point, is charged with stealing the 2006 Honda Pilot reported stolen out of Haverstraw that Elmwood Park police tried to stop on Route 80 on April 2.

DeNicola kept going to I-95 in Fort Lee and then onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway, crashing into a marked K-9 unit in Orangeburg near Exit 6 before New York State Police troopers took him into custody.

According to the indictment, the pursuit went through Closter, Cresskill, Demarest, Elmwood Park, Englewood, Fort Lee, Hackensack, Hasbrouck Heights, Leonia, Lodi, Ridgefield Park, Rochelle Park and Tenafly.

DeNicola faces charges in two states, including fleeing — creating a risk of death or injury — and theft in Bergen County. He also received several summonses.
