One of those arrested — 25-year-old Lawrence Jennings — was brought into court earlier today and charged with violating terms of a drug court agreement. He was being held on $25,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

Also being held — on $125,000 bail — was Pedro Colon, 22, who lives in a taxpayer-subsidized on Newman Street that was raided Friday night.

Colon is charged with various counts of marijuana possession — including being in public housing and within 1,000 feet of a school. He’s also charged with possession of Ecstacy and drug paraphernalia.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for an alleged partner of Colon’s, identified as Shaheed Muhammad, 29, who also lives there but wasn’t home at the time of the 7 p.m. raid.

  • UPDATE: Police on Tuesday arrested Muhammad and charged him with a variety of drug charges — 10 counts in all. He was being held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

Roughly an hour after the bust, Hackensack police executed another search warrant at a McKinley Street apartment that turned up pot, packaging bags, and a scale, Detective Capt. Thomas Salcedo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

They arrested five Hackensack men — including Jarod Chisholm, 28, who was charged with marijuana possession and hindering arrest and ordered held on $2,500 bail, and Shymore Miller, 26, who was charged with pot possession and being under the influence. His bail was $2,000.

Released on summonses for charges of pot possession were John Harrison, 20, Marcedine Fordyce, 25, and 33-year-old Marvin Grant.
