Elmwood Park police find bag of cocaine, 16 packets of heroin in stops an hour apart

Elmwood Park police seized a bag of cocaine and 16 bags of heroin in separate traffic stops within an hour of one another last night.

Kimberly Pezzolla, 35, of Cliffside Park was turned over to Clifton police on an outstanding $750 warrant after borough police charged her with cocaine possession and being under the influence following an 8:30 p.m. stop on Locust Street, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.

An hour later, officers charged Samantha Vitale, 26, of Norwood and 27-year-old Joel Hille of Hackensack with carrying the heroin and drug paraphernalia after a stop near the first, Foligno said.

Both were processed and release pending a court appearance.
