HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Lena Iurato, of Hackensack, died on Monday, Dec. 5. She was 101.
Born in Hackensack, Iurato lived all of her life in the city. She worked as a seamstress, first for Goldberg Slipper Company in Hackensack and then for Form Flex in Saddle Brook, before retiring.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Robson and her husband James, and Robert Iurato and his wife Gail; grandchildren Jim, Brenda, Debbie and Monica; great-grandchildren Karen, Christopher, Nancy, Robert, Brianna and Brendan; and sister Marie Di Crosta.
Iurato was predeceased by her husband, John Joseph, and her sons, Thomas, Joseph and Phillip.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Joseph's Cemetery, in Hackensack. Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, in Elmwood Park, is assisting with arrangements.
