Pedestrian Struck By SUV, Killed Near South Jersey Shopping Plaza: Police A pedestrian was hit by an SUV and killed near a shopping plaza in Egg Harbor Township, authorities said. Leon Barrett, 78, of Pleasantville, died in the crash on Wednesday, June 19, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the scene on Black Horse Pike (Route 40) in front of Oak Tree Plaza at around 12:09 a.m. Investigators said a 2015 Honda CR-V was heading east on Black Horse Pike when it struck Barrett, who was walking in the road. Philadelphia Suspect Robbed South Jersey Gas Station At Gunpoint, Caught Fleeing: Police A 19-year-old man from Philadelphia was arrested while fleeing an armed robbery at a Sunoco station in South Jersey, authorities said. Lamar Morrison was captured by Egg Harbor Township police at the Fire Road Apartments, police said.   Morrison allegedly held up the gas station on Fire Road in the Farmington section of town at 5:35 p.m, Tuesday, police said. Morrison was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, receiving stolen property and weapons offenses.  He was being held at the Atlantic County Jail.

2 Men Die Of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning In Atlantic County Camper: Police Two men were found dead in their camper in Atlantic County due to carbon monoxide poisoning believed to be from a gas generator that had been running, authorities said. The bodies of Demetrio Serrano-Cruz, 59, and Rafael Morales, 69, were found in their camper, in a wooded section of Farmington in Egg Harbor Township around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, local police said in a statement.
